Our Deepest Fear
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond
measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most
frightens us.

talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world. There is
nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
won’t feel insecure about you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to manifest
the glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give
other people permission to do the same. As we are
liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others.

How very powerful. This came from a movie I watched today called:”Akeelah and the Bee” It is about an 11 year old that wins the National Spelling Bee. How she gets there is the basis of this poem. It is quoted in the movie as her inspiration.  For some reason this made me think of my granddaughter. My heart’s desire is for her to follow her dream and her heart. I wish she could see this movie, I bet she would be shedding tears too. (Yeah Mom-Mom cried! LOL)  Susan Michelle this is for you. I love ya!!!

BIRTHDAY GIFT

This week is hubby’s birthday. Now he isn’t a  material guy that has a list a mile long of what he would like for his big day, so it is hard to find something that will wow his socks off. But that all changed yesterday. I still can’t stop laughing about it. We had a great weekend together, I took off work Fri. 1/2 day so we could go out somewhere to dinner and not have to worry about my last clients being tooo slow in leaving the shop. He wanted crabs for the last time this season. Off to the Old Mill Crab house we went. The crabs were full, fat and delicious! We literally rolled home! LOL!!!

The Amish auction was next on Sat. Then on Sun. a tractor show and mule show the same time. He went to one and I went part time to the other.  Finally Monday we were able to have the inlaws up for dinner and cake. Now my hubby is not a picky eater and he will eat just about anything , but his favorite is chicken and dumplings or beef and dumplings. We ate the beef and dumplings on Sun. at a diner, so I wanted to cook his fav. chicken and dumplings, but ran out of time!! So I pulled out stuffed peppers that I had put in the freezer just for last minute dinners and fed everybody that. They were really good.

Now the inlaws know of my hubby’s favorite things. They gave him a nice gift, the look on his face was precious!!! Dinner in a can!!!!LOL  LOL!!! To make it even more hilarious, the dinner was made by : who else: SWEET SUE!!! I just about fell out of my chair laughing and laughing !!!!!!! It was just perfect!!!!!  

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE, HANG AROUND THIS FAMILY LONG ENOUGH AND ANY THING CAN HAPPEN!!!!!

LOGGING

Jerry has a new job now, logging! lol  He decided that the woods on the farm needed to be cut, it was old and some of the trees were rotting. A call to the logging company was made and now it is in full swing. Jerry is over there everyday making sure that they are not tearing up the fields where the corn was shelled and the wheat is to go in. We went in tonight after the loggers left to see the big trees that were cut. What is so amazing is that the cutting machine broke down and now a man is doing the cutting the old way with a chain saw! This pic is one of the biggest trees in the lot, it was cut with a chain saw! This is totally awesome to me! I am told that by the next 2 weeks when the big cutting machine is back on the entire woods will be down, and hauled away. Some of the trees(the pines) are going to my home town, and the oaks,beach,gum etc. will be going all the way to Millington Md. I watched them load one of the big logs on the truck. The logging truck had to back up under the log, while it was being held up with some gigantic metal hands! Believe you me I stayed way back!! Now when it is done it will look like a hurricane when through there, but the forester man told me that the wildlife will come back because (1) they are very curious (deer), and (2) it will give great cover for them. In 1-2 years the trees will reseed themselves.  Now Jerry can train dogs closer to home and by next year his son and grandson can hunt deer too. It never ceases to amaze me how God has a greater design than I could ever imagine! He truly takes care of all creatures including us.

SO MUCH FUN????? BAH!!

I just have to face it, I am not computer literate. I try but I stumble along, falling down, getting up, trying again, falling down, etc. This is really getting to be a drag. I have finally half way learned my new computer with Vista, thanks to my Dummy book. Now I decide to change from dial up to broadband. No sweat, easy as pie, piece of cake—NOT!!! At least not in this neighborhood! It started out great, receive the modem and instructions in the mail, yea I can do this, it even has pictures I can follow. Halfway through installation, I couldn’t go any farther. Ok, I can call the 800 #. Very nice man, he works with me for 45 minutes. Still couldn’t get the service. Wait till tomorrow, maybe the service isn’t ready yet. OK, 6am calling the next day, another 45 min. Finally he said I will send a tec out to you tomorrow , I can’t find the problem. OK, The tec came at 3pm. and when I came home from work at 5:30 he was STILL HERE trying. Now I know that this can’t be that hard can it??? Finally after calling his boss and whoever else, he proclaimed” AHA I GOT IT!” Well golly gee it’s about time!!!!   Now I am officially on broadband, and I am amazed how quick the pages are, it is almost scary!!! (Thanks Tricia for encouraging me to do it , I finally did!) Now I hope I don’t lose the service!!??????
