AMISH AUCTION

Today was the annual jaunt to the Spring Amish Auction. After the beautiful weather we had earlier this week,(69-70), I was looking forward to this. Ohhhhh no, it rained all day yesterday and where the auction was held it rained, sleeted, and snowed some. Temp. was  30-37 with a Northeast wind. Boy you talk about cold!!! Ok I can handle this, I just pile on longjohns,wool socks, jeans, turtleneck, sweater, jacket, boots, ear muffs, hat, and gloves. Now if I could just move around a little bit more?! Oh well. It is so rewarding to go to this all of the money raised is being used to pay towards the bills of a girl undergoing cancer treatments. You can buy quilts, kitchen goods, furniture, farm equip. etc. Whatever you can use, EAT, pet, ride, anything, it is there. The one thing I could do without is the MUD!!!! The sale is often referred to as a Mud Sale because by the time the sale is underway there is mud everywhere, especially if it has been raining lately. We finally got so cold that we decided to leave, that was FUN, now who can get through the mud hole intact? How much fun is it to take a brand new truck, put it in 4 wheel drive LOW and plow through there? Just like in a mud hop whoop weee!!! Now I am home in my nice and WARM sweats with coffee in hand. Now I’m happy!
